In place of a fallen ancient empire, a new kingdom is building among the Songhai of Niger.
The new kingdom isn’t a building – it’s ladies under a tree praying and men studying God’s Word in a courtyard.
The Songhai are now primarily subsistence farmers who live in mud-hut villages along the Niger River.
Believers in Niger share Christ “boldly and often, in places it’s never been spoken to people who’ve never heard it.”
A church from the USA commits to regularly share the Gospel in three Songhai villages.
The Songhai kingdom was characterized by a caste system, an Islamic university and thriving trade routes.
